 Sano-Rubin Construction
Co., Inc.
is a private corporation which
traces its history back to 1912 when Louis Rubin began business as a carpenter and general
contractor. In 1934, he formed a partnership with the Sano brothers, Angelo and Ben, and
the company was formally incorporated in 1958. Although the Sano’s have not been
active in the business since 1971, the Rubin family is in its third generation of
leadership and has retained the Sano-Rubin name.

We are located in Albany, NY, and have limited
our geographic region to a 100-mile radius
of our headquarters. Projects have been constructed as far north as Keeseville, as far
south as Newburgh, as far west as Utica and east to Springfield, Massachusetts. This has
provided a strong knowledge of the local market area and its resources.
Sano-Rubin has provided a range of services to its clients over the
past 100 years
in a variety of building types - from industrial to educational to corporate
to health care facilities. All these projects have in common the need for quality
construction, intricate scheduling/phasing and job site safety. Sano-Rubin’s
personnel are ready to provide the necessary teamwork to complete the project on time and
under budget. They are professionals who draw job satisfaction from the quality of their
work, continuous learning, and from the accomplishments they can point to with pride.
Building construction is a "people-intense" enterprise.
In few other endeavors do so many people with different roles come together to create a
structure that will span generations. Our philosophy is to treat everyone involved in the
building process with fairness, honesty, and integrity, but within the parameters of the
client’s best interest. Trust and reliability is built among all the constituencies
to create an effective work environment.
Our
company goal is to be seen
in the local/regional construction marketplace as the preferred choice, the
best contractor and/or construction manager for the project. We want to be
perceived as the contractor who is trusted and relied on by Owners to meet
or exceed their expectations, and at the same time have those team members
(Owners, Architects, Engineers) enjoy and appreciate how the process is
managed.
Sano-Rubin
manages between 15 and 25 job sites per year with a total managed contract
amount valued at $300 million.
