Sano-Rubin recently completed
the $6.5 million general
construction contract for two new library branches for the Albany Public
Library. The John J. Bach branch is located on New Scotland Avenue and
the Arbor Hill branch is located on Henry Johnson Boulevard in Albany.
The project encompassed a total of over 20,000 square feet of new building
space
and each library branch contains:
- dedicated space for teenagers

expanded
children's collections and programming space
- community meeting room to be used after
hours
- small meeting rooms for tutoring and
study groups
- public computers for each user
population - adults, teens, children
- expanded collections, in all formats
- full handicapped accessibility
- sustainable design and green building
