Saint Francis Hospital Emergency Department Expansion & Renovation
Poughkeepsie, NY
Sano-Rubin Construction Co.,
Inc. was the Construction Manager for this $7.4 million project which broke
ground on August 29, 2007. The new Emergency Department was
completed in 4 phases over 24 months. The first phase,
Phase B,
was a 9,000 square foot
addition to the existing emergency department
and includes 11 private exam / patient
holding rooms, 3-bay prompt care area,
registration and triage area, three nurses'
stations and two waiting areas. The subsequent
phases, recently completed, encompassed 13,000
square feet of renovations to the existing emergency department
including 3 state-of-the-art
trauma rooms, decontamination/HazMat room, two isolation rooms, several
specialized exam rooms, and a new behavioral health area.
The grand
opening ceremony was held June 15, 2009.

Ellis
Hospital Pharmacy Renovation Schenectady, NY
This project consisted
of the complete renovation of the 8,000 square foot pharmacy. It
required six phases to replace the HVAC system due to the pharmacy being
in operation 24/7. The new spaces created during the renovation
include:
chemotherapy room,
clean rooms,
anti-room, gowning,
compound preparation, packaging
rooms, staff offices
and supply rooms. |

Northeast
Health/Albany Memorial Hospital MRI Addition Albany, NY
This new 1,500
square foot addition to Albany Memorial Hospital
contains an MRI room, equipment, control room and two changing rooms.
Renovations were also made to the Radiology waiting room and Blood
Infusion room as well as re-routing the Physician’s parking entrance.
Work was completed on time and on budget despite severe winter
conditions.

Ellis Hospital Cardiac Catheterization Lab
Schenectady, NY
Sano-Rubin was the Construction Manager for
this 5,000 square foot renovation project. Both of the Hospital's
cardiac labs were renovated as well as the core suite area. The
suite consists of an 8-bed patient holding area, office space and
nurses' station. A temporary cardiac cath lab was created while
the renovations were taking place. The work was completed over 9
months with no disruption to Hospital services. |

Northeast Health / Samaritan Hospital MRI Addition
Troy,
NY
New MRI suite addition
adjacent to Hospital's south wing located on Peoples Avenue in Troy.
Addition consisted of new control room, equipment room, waiting area,
changing area and procedure room. Concurrently renovated existing
cardio pulmonary wing and replaced mechanical infrastructure for the south
wing.

Additional
emergency room space of 13,000sf and interior renovations of the existing
emergency department totaling 17,000sf to be completed in September of 2002.
During the construction of Phase 1 an additional floor was added
consisting of 8,500sf of space at the first floor level.

15,000 square foot addition with 15,000 square feet of renovation to create new
ambulatory surgery department and new main entry and lobby. Includes tie-in renovations
and relocations for OR Suite, Cardiology, Telemetry, Dialysis and inpatient rooms. Subsequently completed $2.1 million
renovation over several months. The largest of these was a new
cardiac catheterization laboratory and recovery area addition which was
constructed entirely below grade.
