Sano-Rubin was awarded the general construction contract for the Hope House Adolescent Residence in the City of Albany.  This is a new 14,268 sf, 20-bed facility for adolescents as they go through a contained recovery process. The project is funded through the NYS Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS).

The first floor includes a kitchen, dining area, recreation room, classroom, staff offices and a medical office.  The second floor includes 10 double occupancy bedrooms, consultation areas, counselor offices, laundry, and bathroom facilities.  At the time bids were received, the project was nearly a half a million dollars over budget.  Although Sano-Rubin was the lump-sum low bidder, we worked with the Owner and Architect to bring the project inline with their budget.

The project broke ground on April 1, 2009 and was substantially completed by mid-November.
